Passion and purpose

I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me to make me his own. I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.
Philippians 3:12-14 TPT
Most of us search for our purpose. Even after a lifetime of a career, purpose can be a hidden jewel that we pursue to give life meaning.
We rarely find meaning in the daily grind of life. A passion and purpose tends to come outside “working for the man.” Even if the “man” is the customer base of your own company.
This verse speaks of running with passion toward his abundance. That sounds like the purpose that fulfills life.
On day I asked God for direction. I prayed daily, weekly and month after month for God to tell me if I was to switch careers.
Time and time again God explained that He is my direction - This is sufficient.
In other words, I kept hearing that my choice did not matter to God. The only thing that mattered was that I choose to walk with Him.
God must be our passion and our purpose. Anything short of that results in less than abundance.
