Arguments

Beware that no one distracts you or intimidates you in their attempt to lead you away from Christ’s fullness by pretending to be full of wisdom when they’re filled with endless arguments of human logic. For they operate with humanistic and clouded judgments based on the mindset of this world system, and not the anointed truths of the Anointed One.

Human logic is something we cannot escape. We hear it and speak it every day. The problem with human logic is that it comes from humans. It is a clouded judgment. It is based on something other than what God has set forth for us. Human logic produces endless arguments. This verse shares an important point - we wast our energy on such things when there exists a more peaceful path.

Once we are able to pour our soul into the word of God, God’s logic provides a different way - a better path to follow.

The world makes fun of us for following the way God lays out. When our friends understand this is a better way through the joy and the gentleness and the faith and the love, and the kindness that we exhibit, they desire what we have.

The logic of the world melts away following this better path and our lives improve immensely.

The world gives us a reason to celebrate on a rare occasion. God gives us a reason to celebrate every day. Arguments disappear when this new peace rules the day.
